A Confluence re-imagines the academic conference through Earth, body, community, and ancestors.

Community reindigenizing homeschooling collective ‘Ooxor ‘Aweeshko will offer a spot for children’s activities, creative expression, and play.

OUR 2025 HONORED ELDER + CULTURE BEARER

Olivia Chumacero

We are excited to have former SftE instructor Olivia Chumacero as our 2025 elder and a workshop facilitator. Olivia is an artist, author, poet, filmmaker, educator, and guide for supporting people in their relationship with flora. She has coordinated Spirit Runs, lectured at UC Riverside, San Diego and Santa Cruz Universities, and taught Everything is Medicine (eim) for over 25 years. Her research, video, and artworks have been presented at the Huntington Gardens and with Pacific Standard Time at the Armory Center for the Arts.
